“Came to Pierre from Yankton SD to celebrate my oldest son's birthday. We were able to cook and have the family together in a very nice setting. Location is great for getting whatever you need while you are there. If you are looking for perfection, it's not for you (it's not a brand new house). But it was great for us, very comfortable and enjoyable. And the host couldn't have been nicer. I suggest calling him if you reserve it, some kind of breakdown between him and the VRBO site.”

“Overall, our stay was great. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. The outdoor space was lovely. We especially enjoyed all of the bird watching with all of the feeders and natural habitats (one member of our party even saw one of her "life birds" so that made even more special). ”

“Nice little place with modern appliances, a good shower head, Roku TV, clean, and very well stocked. I arrived on 12/23/23 to a wreath on the door and a lighted and decorated Christmas tree in the living room. We had a blizzard and got snowed in the day after Christmas. Stan, the owner, sent a guy over to shovel out the driveway. He also brought a new shovel to leave at the property which I soon put to use after the snowplows came by and blocked the driveway. Nice place with an even nicer...

“This place is spacious, quiet, and has a ton of creature comforts! It is located in a growing area, and is literally minites from Lake Oahe. Plenty of room to park your boat or jetskis. I plan to come back very soon!”

“Stayed here for a family trip for fishing on Oahe and this location is perfect! Been coming to the area 35yrs. This is a lovely addition that we are looking forward to renting again in the future. Place is as advertised and has all the necessities and some great extras. The one thing we REALLY appreciated, was the use of the garage to store our boat after it was dry and not in use. The area is safe and we could leave it out, but it's that extra peace of mind we got by having it. Thank you!”

“It was a great location if you want to fish on the Missouri River. There was plenty of room for our extended family of 10. We were able to park both of our boats & charge them. The host was nice & accommodating. ”

I would suggest a binder with WIFI info, special things about the home, what to do with the bedding (leave it as is or strip the beds), whether you are to wash your dishes and put away or leave, local attractions, stores, etc. ”

Pierre is home for our family, although we’ve all been gone for many years. It was wonderful to be able to stay in such a nice property on our annual trip this year. “This was our 2nd stay and we loved it. Plenty of room for the kids and grandkids! Weather was warm but not unbearable, and the house was a comfortable temp. Hope to gave this experience again!”
