"The hotel is small with about 7 rooms which was nice. The young man Maricio at the front desk was super helpful and nice and the women who cooked breakfast and cleaned were the same. Breakfast was simple and the same every day but certainly enough and good. The decor is fun and felt very homey. Beautiful view from the balconeys over looking the gorgeous mountains. A short (10-15 minutes walk through the town to the center. Very clean comfortable nice place. Recommend. "

"This is a nice quiet place to stay a few kilometers outside, and up the hill from, the tranquil, picturesque town of Jardin. The amenities are basic, the staff are friendly and the breakfast is delicious. There are also numerous photogenic birds around which adds to the ambience."

"Finca Mariposa accommodations were thoughtfully designed and more luxurious than we expected. The host delivered detailed instructions about the property and the check in process was smooth and easy. The caretaker warmly welcomed us and immediately addressed our questions. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking on our own. As birders, we were delighted with the great variety of birds on the property and along the stream nearby. We encountered parrots, small toucans (toucanets), colorful tanagers, and hummingbirds. The drive into town is a bit long, but didn't discourage us from dining two evenings in Jardin during our stay. We would choose to stay here again when we return in the future."

"It was fine for a few nights, but unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend. Cons: It was SO loud with trucks and motorcycles going by all day and night. I wore earplugs and still couldn’t sleep. This is a common in jardín, so I’d recommend looking for a hotel on the edge of town if you want to sleep. Also service could have been better. No one was there when I arrived at 1pm, which may be been Expedia’s fault, and no one ever responded to my messages. Owners don’t seem to be around often if you need anything. Rooms are a bit worn down. Shower had warm water, but pressure was weak. Pros: Clean, strong wifi, close to main square, nice porch, the woman was friendly during our brief interaction"
