"A great room for a good price. It is a ryokan so expect a traditional Japanese straw floor room, however it was a much larger room than I expected. "The walls are paper-thin, you can hear neighbor's TV. There is a smell of mold in the room. The shared bath was not clean. The futons are very thin as well. The communal toilet slippers were disgustingly dirty, and no other slippers inside the hotel were provided (you walk on very old carpets and floors in the hotel hallways barefooted). "古い建物なので多少はしょうがないと思いますが漏水箇所の未復旧など散見しました また客室はカビ臭が酷くなかなか寝ることが出来なかったです 温泉は良いのですが椅子や桶が清潔とは言い難かったですね！ せっかく良い温泉があるので清掃の徹底と見える箇所の不具合復旧などを行えばまた利用したくなりますね！ "

"This was a very memorable place that I visited. It is in the rural area of japan, you can really feel the realness of the area. It's in gifu however it's definitely not a tourist trap area. The owners of the establishment reminded me of my grandmother. You are not getting a hotle with this stay more of a B&B, it definitely felt like I a was sleeping over a japanese grandma's house. "The hotel was a perfect Japanese style accommodation. The hotel staff did not speak a lot of English, but we were able to make it through. The building was clean and well kept. Very few amenities and has a shared shower room. Overall a good experience."

"夜御飯食べにフロントで教えて頂いた居酒屋はやはり盆休み、、。近くでやってたのはインド料理。。また、雨降りそうでしたが、レンタル傘なさそうだったので、傘無しで行きましたが、帰りは土砂降りの中、大変でした。 風呂は悪くはなく、帰りは近くの駐車場まで送って頂けたのは、雨強かったので、助かりました。玄関出たところで、たまたま良い運転手さんに会えたから良かったです。"

"We loved our time in Gifu! The ryokan was in a lovely quiet part of Gifu surrounded front and back by parks. The staff spoke a little English and we even less Japanese but it didn’t matter- they were so helpful and kind and so friendly -they even did our laundry and drove us to the train station as part of the service!!! There is an onsen - on the top floor. Everything very clean and old world traditional. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. "
