Takaoka Vacation Packages
Takaoka is situated about 170 miles (274 kilometers) northwest of Tokyo, the national capital, and approximately 110 miles (177 kilometers) north of Nagoya.
It's no surprise the area around Takaoka is a perennial favourite with vacationers from across the globe; the surrounding region is an Aladdin's Cave of terrific cities, attractions and landscapes. Himi, lies approximately 7 miles (11 kilometers) to the south. Here you can see the Himi Fisherman's Wharf and Himi City Museum.
If you're staying in Takaoka, head to Kanazawa. Approximately 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the southwest, this regional transport and shopping hub is home to Shinmeigu Shrine, Tentoku-in and Daijoji Temple. Ninja Temple, Oyama Shrine and Kenrokuen Garden are other places worth checking out for those who find themselves with time to spare.
Authentic traveling is so much more than simply seeing the sights, it's also about the poetry, song and story of a place. Your days in Toyama will become infinitely richer if you take the time to try a few common words, sayings and salutations in Japanese. "Isshoni odorimasenka?" is useful. In English, it means "Would you like to dance with me?" "Where's the toilet?" is another good one know, so learn to pronounce "Benjo wa doko desu ka?"
You will be reluctant to say "Sayōnara" (farewell) to this interesting place.
