Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Talek?
The best time to visit Talek, Narok County, is during the dry seasons, specifically from late June to October and again from December to February.

The late June to October period coincides with the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebra cross the Mara River into the Masai Mara. Travelers interested in witnessing this natural spectacle will find Talek's location ideal, as it provides direct access to prime viewing areas for river crossings and abundant wildlife. This time also offers cooler, drier weather, making game drives more comfortable and wildlife easier to spot as vegetation is less dense.

For those looking for excellent wildlife viewing without the peak crowds of the Great Migration, the December to February dry season is also an excellent choice. During these months, the weather is pleasant, and many resident animals are easier to find around water sources.
