"We were in the area for a family wedding so spent most of our time away from the cottage. It provided a welcome morning and evening retreat, sun (or even clouds) over the water. We could have enjoyed many hours sitting in the "sun room" if we hadn't been pulled away to other activities. It was all lovely and easy. Suggest owners install a grab bar for the tub/shower. That tile step is dangerous, especially when wet."

"This is our 16th year vacationing at Hay Beach, but our first time staying at this property. The house is very confrontable and the layout is great, plenty of room for our family, 3 couples. The second level deck was the hangout, beautiful views of the sun rises with morning coffee, watching large pods of dolphins swimming 30 yards off the beach, eagles flying overhead and cocktails every evening. The guys fished from kayaks while the girls laid in the sun on the deck every day ... great...

Next, what I loved about this property, and something you do not get very often is the amount of living, relaxing space there is in this rental. "We stayed for our Thanksgiving this year, Wednesday-Saturday. It was splendid. The house is charming, highly comfortable, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The view from the housen is breathtaking, and there is so much yard space to enjoy outdoor activities, including the swing set up right on the tree by the back porch. My kids loved the swing! So much fun. The other outside features and accessories were also great. We had a nice fire in the firepit by the water, and did smores...

"I was looking for a nice, quiet, and relaxing, vacation. This property did not disappoint. The house was comfortable, cozy, well stocked, and so clean. The view is incredible. Just sitting outside watching the river was so "Zen". I had one of the most restful vacations ever. I was there for a little over two weeks and I would have stayed longer if I could have, Kim, the host, was very friendly and helpful. I look forward to staying at this beautiful property again."
