"Quiet, spaceous room which was very clean. The pub served delicious food and there is a fabulous little cafe next door. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back when visiting family again. Exceptional value for money with a good breakfast included. Only slight niggle is that the pillows were thin and not supportive. One is not enough and two is too much. Perhaps they could invest in firmer support pillows and the score for this hidden gem would be 10/10."

"Booked The Cromwell Arms for a 3 night stay with my husband. I came down to Devon to visit my Dad who lives quite near so this place was ideal for us. On arrival this is a very quaint looking establishment and quite a few places at the rear for Free parking too. We booked in and shown to our room. We were both pleasantly surprised. "I think I was expecting it to be more like a hotel than a pub with rooms but thats exactly what is so maybe my bad for not reading fully. The room was decorated beautifully and was very clean. Grear matress and pillows and the toiletries were super cute. My breakfast was amazing!!! "

"We have stopped overnight at the Tradesmans arms in Scorriton before and have not been disappointed. The location is isolated in a delightful small village with stunning views. The accommodation, food and hospitality is really good. The atmosphere created by the many local residents when the pub is open supporting the business says it all. "

"A really old pub in a remote part of the Tamar Valley AONB with lots of character. The meal that we had was excellent and there was a good selection of wines to choose from. The accommodation was also excellent and way above what we were expecting for a B&B attached to a pub. The staff were very friendly and made us really welcome. "Myself and my partner stayed for 2 nights, on the first night with were arriving at 8.10pm just after the kitchen normally closes. We rang up and nothing was too much trouble, we preordered over the phone and they held off on preparing our meal until we arrived. Food was amazing and we had a lovely few drinks in the pub which has such a warm atmosphere. Our room was lovely, we particularly enjoyed the log burner, and was a great size. A great stay, we would definitely come again! "

"The room was clean, warm, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful and polite, although we couldn’t find anyone at the bar when we wanted to check in and we couldn’t find a bell. It is an old building and the stairs to our room were quite steep and narrow and quite a lot of them. They allowed us to park in the car park for the two days, although we were only staying the one night."

"I've stayed there twice now on each visit to Plymouth. The rooms have been refreshed, clean and the area is generally fairly quiet. The location means you can walk to the Hoe, Barbican readily, and the Drake Circus is 5 minutes away. If I return to Plymouth, I'd readily come back!! And the staff are great :) "
