“we stayed 4 nights, picked up some groceries. We walked to the grocery store (Dunn's). Great location, its right in town, so you can walk to everything. Lot of different restaurants (pubs, Asian, Italian, ice cream) we went to Paddy Sheehan's to listen to some live local irish music. The apartment was nice/clean/we requested a mountain view which was very nice. The appliances our very different than the USA - once we figured it out it was ok. they did give a booklet with some directions. ……

“We enjoyed our stay and how original this home was. The hot tub and creek out back was so relaxing after a day of traveling. We didn’t cook while there so I can’t remark on cooking supplies and etc. I think some shelving in the large wardrobes in bedrooms would help a lot. We used the extra small table in the utility area to lay out our clothes so we didn’t have to get into luggage everyday. They had plenty of extra covers/pillows in 2nd bedroom. “Great experience - we loved it! We had 13 adults and two infants at Shelburne Lodge for a family reunion in July. We found this to be a great location for day trips across southwestern Ireland - and only about 500 yards down the sidewalk to the downtown pubs and shops of Kenmare. It is also convenient to grocery stores and a pharmacy. The lodge is a remarkable historic structure, accurately depicted in the photos on the VRBO website. Our grandchildren named the cows Elsie & Gracie who welcomed us every day. Noelle was so nice and available to any of our needs.
