Advertised as one thing (apparently Hotels.com won’t let me say what, so I have had to re word my initial complaint), when I checked in, I was given something completely different. Suffice to say, when I booked I was not expecting to be staying in a bedroom in someone’s house. Unable to get a refund dispute the proof I supplied that the booking was misrepresented. “Room Room was tidy and good; well equipped except there is no hair dryer. Even we requested for hairdryer a couple of times, it never appeared throughout our 4-days stay. No bottled water in room. Booking before I booked a room for 2, asked for twin bed at time of booking as I was travelling with my parent. The hotel replied with 2 upgrade options, both available only at nearly doubled price. In another word, a studio does not have 2 beds. ”

“We truly enjoyed our short stay in Linton. This cottage was wonderful. We were greeted by beautiful flowers in the front! The cottage is nicely appointed with everything we needed. We appreciated the selection of teas! We also enjoyed reading the history of the ownership of the cottage, dating back to 1604. We enjoyed the coffee shop next door and The Dog and Duck down the street. The cottage was a perfect place to start our exploration of England. Thanks, Louise, for a lovely stay!”
