"The Pack Horse Inn was absolutely amazing! I’m a frequent traveler and this has by far been one of my favorite places to stay. The location was perfect and since I’ve always wanted to stay out in the countrysides of town and away from the city to enjoy the scenery, walks, and quiet. The inn was everything I expected but even more the moment you arrive and walk in. The entire staff was so friendly and helpful and some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. The room was comfortable, always clean, and you can open the windows to the beautiful surroundings. I can’t say enough in a summary about this place, but I will say, if you want a perfect retreat away from everything into the English countrysides, I recommend the Pack Horse Inn. "

"The rooms were clean and warm with tea/coffee facilities, towels, bathrooms close by. The staff were lovely and helped sort us 2 adjoining rooms with a bathroom close by as the family room with ensuite that Hotels.com sold to us dows not exist. sold to "

"We stayed 5 nights in October half term and had a lovely stay.The cottage is very cosy and ideally located to spend time in the Peak district. Recommend the local Indian takeaway just around the corner and also the Goyt in which is only a couple of minutes walk away.Kitchen could do with a few more items, such as a baking and roasting tray but this didn't affect our stay.All in all a really lovely cottage in a lovely location. We're already considering coming back for a couple of nights in November."

"We had a lovely stay at The Waltzing Weasel with a very friendly and helpful host. It is a very comfortable, clean B&B with stunning views. The breakfast was delicious with very generous portions. Will definitely recommend to others."

"Sub-Standard service from Expedia and Sykes Cottages. Our booking got cancelled as the cottage had ‘last minute maintenance’. The booking was for the 2-7th July 2025 and despite a huge amount of emails, phone calls and WhatsApp messages - it’s now the 12th July and we have still not received a refund. "
