The host did not respond to any messages before or during our stay when we tried to address several concerns. At one point, a man entered the space unannounced saying he was there to fix the smoke alarm, which was concerning since we had not been notified. When I contacted the owner about this, they did not reply. On the second morning, the smoke detector started...

"Parking was slightly sketchy, but we didn't have any problems. Proximity to metro (Sherbrooke) and restaurants (Bistrot La Fabrique!!!) was fantastic. The apartment was quiet and had all the accoutrements we needed. Only downside: 4th floor walk-up, which is only a problem if you're exhausted at the end of a long day in beautiful Montreal!"

Application a bit tedious, but I understand because it is in a potentially located in a party zone. My only suggestions is a better closing mechanism for the buildings front door- as other tenants left it open several times open, making the entryway cold and sometimes smokey from the folks smoking outside the adjacent bar. "

Back stairs of the apartment to the car parking don’t feel super safe or up to code so better to use front entrance when possible, especially when bringing in any luggage or carrying heavy things.
