The Pines Vacations from $254

Not Family Friendly!! This rating would be lower if I could make it a negative number. There were homeless people rummaging through their garbage on the property when we arrived. We checked in and they had given away our suite that we had booked, which was disappointing because we are a big family and wanted to be together. They did give us two rooms side by side instead, which we accepted, as we didn’t have many other options. After checking in, we headed to the rooms where it really got sketchy. One of the rooms smelled horrible, like marijuana and cigarette smoke, and then way too much air freshener to try and mask it. There were burn marks on the “clean” sheets on the beds, but the worst part, which made us choose not to even stay there, was the fact that both doors for both of the rooms were busted up as if they’d be kicked in and then poorly fixed. That was the final straw which made us decide to not stay there as we did not feel safe to do so. Luckily there was a hotel right next door that was much better, cleaner and had security on premises so there were no problems outside either. The only positive was that the employee who checked us in let us cancel our reservation even though we’d already checked in. Expedia shouldn’t even have this place on their website, it is not fit for families, or most people in general, to stay at.

Beautiful property in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Will definitely stay here again.

What a great experience! We discovered the Autocamp in this trip and decided to give it a shot, we were pleasantly impressed. Being in the middle of nowhere, staying in a caravan but not lacking anything is quite the luxury. Want wifi, comfy beds, food or stary nights, a cool fire put to gather around and eat smores? You got it all. We are already planning our next Autocamp trip!

I like their flexibility and good customer service.
