“The bathroom was spotless. Difficult to tell the rest as the lighting was poor. The toilet ran all night but it worked. I originally thought it was the laundry room which was next to us. The room was quiet for being beside the highway. We used this hotel as a one night stop over while driving through. The clean bathroom and friendly staff means I would return. Great view of Lake Huron from our room.”

“Although the exterior is run down and the interior dated, the bed was comfortable, fridge worked great, and the bathroom had shampoo, bath soap, and hand soap. I had dinner at the attached restaurant and it was basic but well done.”

“The room was spacious and comfortable. It was nice to have so many electrical outlets. The wifi wasn't working when we got there but they came and fixed it. It was a weak signal. There was lots of shampoo, body wash etc. It was disappointing that the water was not safe. Luckily we had water with us.”

“Couldn't ask for more. We've stayed at about a dozen different cottages in northern Ontario and Lakeside Cottages in Bruce Mines is the best. The beds are comfy, the price is reasonable, the cottage comes fully stocked (no upcharge for bedsheets like some places!!!), the kitchen is full and also stocked (salt and pepper and oil and coffee!!!), the cottages are clean and pretty, the view is amazing, the firewood is onsite and included (not $20 for a tiny bundle like some places...), reasonable……
