Ascending the road to Big White Ski Resort, you’ll be struck at the wind-whipped snow cornices found throughout the area. In some parts, an unusually high champagne powder snowfall carpets the trees, lending them a stocky appearance which has inspired the term “snow ghosts.” Explore over 2,765 acres (1,147 hectares) in one of the largest skiable terrains in British Columbia. Melting snow from the Rocky Mountains feeds the tributaries, streams and creeks that flow into the very large Okanagan Lake.
