Boathaven Beach in the Port of Airlie is one of the best beaches to visit during the peak season if you want to avoid cruise ship passengers that descend upon Airlie Beach.

Just east of Cannonvale Beach and west of the Coral Sea Marina is a small beach that is mainly in use for boating and fishing these days. To enjoy the white sandy beaches the Whitsunday Region is so famous for, you can book a live-aboard cruise leaving from the marina next to Shingley Beach instead.
