The price was reasonable for the holiday season. Location is near the train station, the river and walking distance to attractions. Considering it is an older hotel it shows some wear but the price compensates for it. Breakfast and Dinner Buffet was good and convenient. We used the pool and almost had it to ourselves.It's plenty big to lap swim. Plenty of free bottled water also they brought some fruit to the room with no charge. We had a good veiw of the river and city from our room. Only complaint was the room was a bit to warm, better than to cold. Having visited China over the past ten years I have stayed in quite a few hotels and realize Chinese hotels are not the same as the ones in the US this one comes close to a western hotel. Only disppointment was with Tianjin it self. It's more crowded, the population has increased by 3 million people since my first visit and seemed dirtier than I remember.
