“With so many negative reviews regarding the size of the room, we paid extra for their bigger room. On arrival we received a friendly welcome and were shown to our room. The entrance to the rooms was having a mould problem, so an extractor had been installed and reed diffuser to mask the smell. The room itself was comfortable, clean, no damp smells which I feared on entry to the block. As expected from previous reviews the bathroom was tiny but that wasn’t a problem… we were here for the……

“A lovely place to stay in the Welsh Countryside. The room was large, quiet and comfortable. The staff were amazingly friendly (well, let's face it, aren't most Welsh people?). The breakfast was classy and of excellent quality. I highly recommend this inn for a stay. You won't regret it for a moment. 5 stars all around!”

“We had a fantastic stay at the butchers arms. They were very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with another hotel and Andrew and his team couldn’t do enough for us. What a lovely place to stay. “**Disappointing anniversary stay** We booked Lanelay Hall over three months in advance for a special anniversary and were looking forward to the luxury boutique experience advertised. We had hoped that booking so far ahead would allow us to be allocated one of the more desirable rooms. Unfortunately, we were allocated Clock Tower 1, an accessible Deluxe Room. Although the hotel has confirmed this was the Deluxe category we booked, the room itself was very disappointing. It felt clinical rather……
