Come for excellent swimming, fishing, hiking, boating, bonfires, and time spent having fun and relaxing. Our cottage is winterized and can be enjoyed all 4 seasons (snow shoe and ATV trails nearby). Hang out in the hot tub, play yard games, sit by the fire, or curl up and enjoy a movie in the theatre. This place really does have it all! Two marinas on the lake system offer all the necessities, including boat rentals should you wish to do so. The town of Buckhorn is 15 minutes down the road and has everything you'll need from firewood, to groceries, to LCBO. The cottage is located in a peaceful neighbourhood just off Hwy 37 for easy year round access with cars. By boat, it is connected to the famous Trent-Severn waterway. ATV and Snowmobile trail passes right nearby. Plenty of trails and year round activities nearby such as hiking, biking, boating, fishing, cross-country skiiing, icefishing. Self Check-in between 4pm and 6pm. Our guest communication team are on call until 7pm to ensure your check in goes smoothly. Absolutely no parties or additional guests not included in the reservation. Parties will result in a fine equal to 100% of the security deposit regardless of damages. Absolutely no smoking indoors. Any trace of smoking indoors will result in a fine equal to 100% of the security deposit regardless of damages. If smoking outdoors, please properly dispose of butts. Keep noise to a minimum past 10PM. We have neighbours on both sides, and noise complaints will not be tolerated. The house is on a septic system. As such, please do not flush any sanitary napkins or other items down the toilets. We are a pet friendly listing, however we do ask that you disclose any pets you'll be bringing to the listing. Larger, shedding pets will be subject to an additional cleaning fee ($40). The only problem was that we had to drive to the beach. We thought from the pictures that the water was a minute away. It was, but we had not access to it. The public beach at sand lake was amazing and lovely but it was public and it was not outside the cottage. Hat was the only problem! As soon as walking into the house there was vomit in the snow bank. The dish washer is not attached to the wall, The sink faucet is not attached, Took all night to heat up the hot tub, There was urine out side the sauna. Pulling up to the property it looked pretty dilapidated. Inside looked like the leftovers from a yard sale. There was not enough seating anywhere in the house to accommodate the 8 of us but the listing said up to 12\. The sauna did not work, the tv in the listing was for decoration only, unable to play anything on it. Projector in the basement was old and incompatible. Cornhole game was broken and unplayable. String lighting hung In the basement as only lighting source. We had to wear shoes while inside because the floors were filthy. All taps were loose. Dishwasher was not attached and almost fell forward when opened. Other issues to numerous to list. Water access is very difficult to find. When we asked a neighbour and had a conversation regarding the owners of this property they were described as ‘not being very honest’. As a renter all I want is what is advertised. Just be honest in your ad. Provide people with what they are paying for. The owner was phenomenal, kept communicating with us to ensure wer alright and didn't need anything. The kids had lots of fun from playing board games, using the jacuzzi to swimming ( beach is about 5 min away).
