The Shores of Deer Lake

The Shores of Deer Lake

10/10 Excellent
"My family had an amazing stay at The Shores of Deer Lake. The property was clean and quiet. There was a lot of space for my daughter and dog to play. Having the lake as our backyard was amazing. Bonus.. there was the perfect little beach just steps away from our door. The water was warm and calm enough to canoe and kayak in. We also met some amazing people which made our stay even more memorable. We will definitely be booking again."

The Northern Pearl - A Lakefront Cottage on Lake Bernard in Sundridge, Ontario

The Northern Pearl - A Lakefront Cottage on Lake Bernard in Sundridge, Ontario

10/10 Excellent
"This was a lovely, classic Ontario cottage experience. The cottage was clean and well appointed with a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, kayaks, a small selection of kids toys and a gorgeous dock on the lake. We (Mom, Dad, 10 and 8) stayed for a week and enjoyed swimming in the lake, having snacks at high rock, kayaking around Lake Bernard, and looking for frogs and turtles. There was a loon in the bay that sang at dusk. We saw hummingbirds, ducklings, woodpeckers, chipmunks and frogs on the property. It was amazing. Renters should know the cottage does not have air conditioning or a dishwasher, but this is as-advertised and what we expected - classic, true cottage. The upstairs bedrooms are warm at night but have overhead and floor fans that kept things comfy for us. Again, this is what we expected and wanted. We really enjoyed our time and would recommend it without hesitation. I would only report one small flaw, and it is outside the scope of the rental directly: one of this properties' neighbors is into golf and has shot 100s of golfballs into the bay, which are quite visible in the very clear water."
