This place looked like what horror films are made of! Cobwebs in the windows, musty, tiny little bed in a tiny room with a fan....Unkempt lawn & driveway! Definitely weird, unless youre into that sort of thing. We said NOPE & stayed at a hotel!

Checkin was very easy. Room was very clean. Hallway smelled a bit like strong vs spices but the rooms smelled fine. Could have been a guest bringing back smelly food. Wry close to downtown area and World Championship Derby. Would stay there again.

What a special place! We extended our stay for an additional night because we were enjoying ourselves. Our room by the tennis courts was clean and comfortable. The view of the water from the property was beautiful. Convenient restaurant and bar on site. The access to Dollar Lake made for a sweet morning walk. The staff were very friendly and obviously working so hard to make sure everyone was having the best stay! We look forward to another stay at Chanticleer in the future!
