Showed up late and last minute and still got the best service at Rio Grande Motel. The owner Sarah was very responsive to my messages and had my room ready for me even when I showed up after midnight. Clean and cozy and dog friendly. Very kind and professional, you can tell they care about making you comfortable here! Definitely recommend this place.

Quaint motel but comfort is lacking

Sarah was awesome, friendly, kind, and me feel welcomed. The motel is cute as well as the room. 2 double beds and they were awful, so uncomfortable. One bed was not bolted to headboardand was on wheels so if you sat up with your back against headboard, you rolled to the other side of room Lol. The pillows were so thin and uncomfortable as well. If mattress and pillows were updated I would recommend.

Rio Grande Motel.

My stay was wonderful. The single bed room had a step in shower. Clean sink and shelves with hanging space. Large refrigerator/freezer with microwave. Tile flooring with comfortable bed and pillows. Side table with working table. Direct tv new ac/heat. 32 inch flat-screen.

I had an unfortunate combination of elements beyond the control of management. The walls are real thin there. I listened to my neighbor's conversation from 1030pm to midnight as clear as a if they were in my room and was then reawakened by the loudest snoring in history the whole night. Bad luck, nice place and staff

Absolutely love this mom and pop place! This place has history and you can tell the owners and staff do there best to preserve this hidden treasure. I loved the way they reached out the day we were set to arive to confirm our arival and give us directions. This motel is tucked behind a gas station so convenient if you need a snack or any other item. Close to downtown, hot springs, farmers market and Elephant Butte. Very clean and there is a slight smell due to the natrual age of the building. We felt very safe and had a wonderful stay, we look forward to coming back and bringing the whole family next time. I would highly recommend this motel because the people are so personable and i would prefer that over any high chain hotel.

I stayed here with my teenage son for one night. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean enough, a good value for those looking for a stopover on a long trip or visiting Truth and Consequence.

The people in the room next to mine were very noisy. The front desk has limited hours. I had to lock both of the locks in the room. I probably wont stay here again.
