“A well equipped room with an excellent bed, large TV, fridge and good shower. The room was tastefully decorated and of a decent size. I really appreciated the welcome gifts of biscuits, water and milk too. Breakfast was excellent and a very generous portion. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. I would also recommend the evening meals and good selection of ales - both of which were high quality. ”

“My husband and I spent ten days there in September 2015. The house-owner, Helen is very nice. Every day she kindly recommended some landmarks for us to visit. And she was willing to assist us. For those who are wishing to stay as a home-liked place, this hotel will be a good choice. The room was clean, there was someone responsible for cleaning your room every single day. The breakfast was lovely but a bit dull. The location of the hotel is convenient, but I would suggest renting a car if you……

“A lovely old building. At present having some work done on the roof. Scaffolding doesn't detract from the internal spaces or the lovely views across the Bristol channel. ”

Although quite a treck around narrow winding lanes to get there...it was definitely worth it. Lovely family-run bed and breakfast...I would highly recommend it. “I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). ”
