Absolutely a spectacular host and a great location

Entrance to the building left a lot to be desired. Scruffy, peeling paint where there was some, broken marble steps on staircase, broken handrail. Through the door into our accommodation it all changed.Nicely decorated and furnished. Into our lovely spacious room with balcony. Nicely decorated. Bathroom was very tiny. One large wardrobe with 3 hangers! No drawers. Had to search shops to purchase an adapter as UK one was not compatible. Bit stressful. Appears the property has the old socket system. Unable to connect to wifi after numerous attempts. The host confirmed the password but still no luck. The password had 30 digits, numbers and letters!! Finally, no facilities, not even a cup, one, bathroom mug. Certainly no tea/coffee making facilities. Although housekeeping advertised, that didn't happen. So all you get is a room albeit a nice room. Good location with bars and restaurants within walking distance.

Met on arrival, shown the code to enter the property. Lovely airy en-suite room. Minibar fridge was useful for my own purchases. Coffee shop (901 cafe) on the same street only €2.50 for cappuccino and pastry. A got the Alibus from the airport to the Stesicoro stop on Via Etnea. Same stop returning to airport. Only a 10 minute walk to the “Hotel”. Room was spotless, bed was really comfortable. I was in a single room (4). There was a coffee machine in the common area, plus a microwave although I didn’t use either. If I came to Catania again, I would definitely stay here again.
