This was a solid but not wonderful stay. The room was very typical european in that it was small and cramped and the shower was tiny. That wasn't a huge issue, though because that is what's expected in Europe. My bigger gripe was that I got my period one of the nights and bled on the sheets and they didn't get changed. They just made the bed over the stain, which was kind of icky. Also the toilet lid would always fall on us while we were using the toilet and it didn't like to stay up. Thankfully we weren't men trying to stand and use it, but it was annoying for us at least.
All that being said, the front desk staff was wonderful and helpful. I even saw one of the staff members helping some women book a bus ticket on their phone, which is definitely above and beyond. And overall the hotel did what it needed to do for us. It was comfortable and safe, so no major complaints.

The property was very clean and entering with the code was good. The room was fine, and the kitchenette functional, and all we needed for the time. Although we did manage to find the hotel by going through the Tikkurila station, there were no signs in the station itself, and we had to ask a few people how to get there. Also, we wanted to take an early morning train to the airport, and the passage to the train station was still locked. We got there, but we had no information about this and, again, there were no signs directing us.

In April 20 26 there was a great deal of construction in the neighborhood so traveling between the street car stop and the hotel was not quick or easy. I think after this street construction is resolved, it will be a good place to stay if you don’t mind being outside of the Most picturesque area. 10 minute tram ride to historic areas.

"This place is suprisingly good. Even if the rooms might feel big on paper, they are divided in 1 bunk compartments which gives some privacy. As the hostel is big there is plenty of space to move and the common area/bar downstairs was nice. The location is perfect to avoid hustle and bustle of downtown ..."
