Was late and showed up the next day with a disabled person (this room was prepaid and we never canceled) and they said because I wasn’t there the first day they canceled my entire stay with no refund and no where else to go.

I feel this establishment is a bit over priced for the amenities it provides and the need of updates. However, the customer service always exceeds my expectations. The hotel is old. It looks a little sketchy. However, the room was clean and adequate. We arrived late at night to 5 police cars and and ambulance in the parking lot. The police officer said this hotel was not a safe place to stay. They are there often. Usually drug related. Apparently a lot of homeless people are given vouchers to stay here.

Although we have had a smoking ban in WA since 2005, it was obvious someone had been smoking in our room. I am sensitive to smoke and I had a cold, but also I have 4 tumors in my lungs (which have been operated on 4 times and received radiation), so my respiratory system is not great. We couldn't change rooms because the motel was full. We left the window open the whole time we were there but it still felt like we were staying in a 1990s Reno hotel room. So gross and so hard to breathe. I tried to wash the smoke out of my hair in the morning, but with the terrible water pressure, it took a long time. I just wanted to leave! Also, there was a weird dark stain on the toilet seat. While I was getting dressed, I kicked something under my bed. I lifted the bedskirt (being careful not to touch the grimy, stained carpet). I found Fritos and a full Coors Light. My friend and I will now always refer to the hotel chain as Dread Lion.

As someone who travels quite a bit, I suppose I’ve taken some things for granted when it comes to expectations at a hotel/motel. The water pressure in the showers was barely adequate. The beds were outdated noisy, lumpy, spring mattresses. I observed many people wandering around in the late hours around the property and it just felt a bit unsafe. The hot tub was boarded up which was a let down for sure - as well as this Grab and Go breakfast. When it says breakfast included, I guess I just expect continental. They did have fresh fruit though. These rooms seemed like something you’d find at a $60 a night motel and therefore if priced as such, I’d have known what I was getting into as well as probably not stayed.
