"This is a great property which is perfect for two families sharing, plus has a granny annexe too. The kitchen is well equipped and also.has a BBQ. The pool was warm and brilliant for the kids. It's to the North West of Sarlat, about 10 mins from Salignac which has a small supermarket, boulangerie, petrol station etc. Loads of tourist things to do nearby including canoeing on the Dordogne. It feels very rural yet almost everything is within a 30 mins drive. The owner was very accommodating...

"The pool is lovely, the only downside was that there is no WiFi although we managed to get mobile signal most of the time. It's 10 minutes from Sarlat-le-Caneda which has a stunning old town, it's also 15 minutes from some beautiful gardens, under 30 minutes to several stunning villages built into the cliffs, and an hour away from the absolutely stunning Rocamadour. There are plenty of caves if you enjoy that, Domme is within half an hour, and there are also quite a few options within 30...

"We were group of family and friends stayed in the house. We were bit dissapointed by the property mainly due to:1. The full house is not together but in 2 different section bit detached to each other. This means that everyone cannot stay together in the same house, which was not expected by us and was not even clear in the description of the property.2. The property is in middle of nowhere. "Cute house with plenty of character and stunning views. Lots to see and do near by. Florence and her lovely mother were the perfect hosts, attentive but not interfering. We didn’t realise at the time of booking that the pool was shared with another Gite, however this wasn’t a problem. "

There was more than ample room for anyone wanting peace and quiet. You had a choice of out door seating but our favourite was the front under the vine. The pool was fantastic as well. "This was a good option for a base when visiting the region. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, if a little strangely designed. A lack of sensible plug sockets (we had to boil the kettle on the floor!) and the water from the shower went everywhere because there is no shower tray - yet is not a wet room! We found parking stressful, we arrived late at night and found no spaces free thanks to inconsiderate parking from guests, the hotel would do well to mark acual spaces. We did squeeze our tiny car alongside the bins for overnight, and then after heading out early could not get a space at any other time during our stay. The night porter did help us at one point by explaining that the street parking would be ok overnight as long as we moved again by 8am. Given that we were on a three week road trip we had a very full car and this wasn't ideal. We would have liked to try the restaurant but couldn't as they seemed to stop serving earlier than advertised. We were told it was 'fully booked' at around 8pm despite lots of empty tables, we think they just didn't like that we hadn't pre booked. All in all this hotel was good enough and comfortable for a short stay and maybe better if you are less busy and have less luggage, but for us it just has a few fracture points that in all probability would not encourage us to stay again. The town is charming and we found good options for both breakfast and later dinners, just don't go out too late as the options dwindle."
