Hotel was clean was offers the bare minimum. Tile floors, thin towels, geared toward the budget traveler.

Cheap hotel near port hueneme

Posted Aug 14, 2016
Clean, simple, "motel". Location not the best. Weird check in. Guys says he doesn't want to have room cleaned unless you ask each day because cleaning people might knock your papers onto the floor and you won't be able to find them. One way to save cost. Anyway worked fine.

Room to spare!

Two queen beds and a couch put into a huge room. Enough space for a family to reside in comfortably for a long while. Not new but well kept.

Good Place To Stay! Clean, Safe, Decent Location

It's a motel, not a hotel or resort and shouldn't be compared to one. On that basis, I give it a solid FOUR STARS. Friendly, helpful desk people. LARGE room, about 15' x 16' (not including the entrance area (about 6' x 6', w/microwave oven and mini-fridge) or the bathroom), with lots of open floor space. A/C--heater, plus window that opens. Good curtains--dark and fully cover the window for privacy and block morning light. No neighbor noise, not much traffic noise (but you always travel with ear plugs for sleeping, right?). Clean bathroom (but tub and toilet not cleaned the next day--not really a big deal). Plenty of towels, though one was a bit threadbare. Clean, unstained bed linens. Comfortable bed, okay pillows. 6-drawer dresser, nightstand (2?), no alarm clock/radio. Comfortable couch, table with two chairs (dining type, not reclining-type). Good-sized flat screen TV, lots of satellite/local TV channels (DirecTV--lousy on-screen schedule guide). NO bugs or mystery stains. On-site restaurant is GOOD: hoagies, cheese steaks, sandwiches, breakfast burritos, salads, etc. but not open very early (like 9 am I think) or very late (8pm or 9pm depending on the day). No outside hang-out lawn or patio. Free WiFi--you get a unique username and password--not too fast, sometimes cuts-out, but okay. I definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

Nice room, nice people, convenient location... but they could have done a better job cleaning the room and the sheets.

Cons: Better quality bed, and at least thicker windows if not sound proof windows due to loud nearby traffic.
Clean room, and all amenities in order. Fast food nearby, so it's convenient if you need a quick bite to eat or a late night snack. Bed was a bit uncomfortable, and windows do nothing to dampen the sound of nearby traffic.
