Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my stay. I understand accommodation options in American Samoa are very limited, but several things were really frustrating. I arranged and reconfirmed an airport shuttle in advance. I arrived at 12:30 PM, but nobody was there. I waited, sent several messages, and received no reply. After 40 minutes, I had to walk to the hotel with all my luggage because I had no cash for a taxi. When I complained, I only received a cold “sorry” - not even a small gesture of goodwill. The first room was terrible: a connecting door meant I could hear everything from the neighbouring room, and the curtains had dirty stains and what appeared to be black mould. I requested another room but was told to wait for a call. Eventually I had to go back to reception with all my luggage and insist on being moved. The second room had extremely poor water pressure - barely enough to shower — and a cracked bathtub, so I had to change rooms again the next morning. The third room was finally fine. The return airport shuttle was also not ready despite being requested for 9:30 AM. It was only called when I came to reception and arrived around 9:40, making me rush to catch my flight check-in. The hotel is quite dated, included breakfast is basic and cold options only and Wi-Fi costs $5 per day with no option to pay for just one day. On the positive side, the gym is very good and the pool looked decent. Given the limited options on the island, this still should be ok
