  • Large private suite approximately with 900+ square feet. Within walking distance of Elk Lake and Mattick’s Farm. Hardwood throughout, cable TV, smart TV, induction hot plate, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Laundry room available in the main house with keypad entry access. This Cordova Bay area property was both cozy and roomy. Very quiet, had everything we needed & much more. Very relaxing. The bed was extremely comfortable, as were the living room love seats. Great coffee/tea station, well stocked kitchen. Lovely sunny patio area. Fast wifi, big screen tv with tons of channels. Has a country feel but is close to everything. Grocery store 5 min drive, close to beaches, Burchart Gardens, & Victoria. Would book again without hesitation, highly recommend. We loved it!

This is a fantastic location to stay in if you’re visiting Vancouver Island. It is close to Victoria and Butchart Gardens but far enough out to have some space and quiet. It has a fantastic view of the bay. The suite is always clean, smells clean and is well stocked with high quality coffee tea, sparkling water and a nice kitchenette. We’ve met the hostess Carol more than once and she is top notch. She makes you feel right at home and is full of knowledge about the area and happy to help with suggestions of where to eat and what to see. It also has nice outdoor seating on the property which they encourage guests to use. There is also a nice hot tub and pool on site. It is also close to tons of local berry and farm stands so you can eat plenty of local produce. On a scale from 1 to 10 we would give Carol and her property a 20. Can’t wait stay there again it is our favorite place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay! The listing was exactly as described, and everything met our expectations. The host was very accommodating, responsive, and made check-in and our stay easy from start to finish. We especially appreciated the thoughtful extra touches for our family pets, which made them feel just as welcome as we did. We’d happily stay here again and would recommend this VRBO to others traveling with pets.

A rural oasis of quaint quiet farm land surroundings. Carol & Trevor ensure all my needs were met. Timely response to any inquiry & assistance needed. The fenced dog run is a bonus for my girl Freya. The bed is so very comfortable.

The place is clean and spacious, exactly as the photos! Carol is a very attentive host. Friendly and accommodating. Our large dog also loves the property with the fenced in dog park, along with sheep and chicken watching.

Probably the best holiday property we've ever stayed in and we certainly didn't want to leave at the end of our stay. Beautiful, quiet location and a wonderfully spacious and well-appointed property with masses of space and tastefully decorated. Space to park and very conveniently close to a main highway although you wouldn't believe it with the tranquility of the property. We had the best nights' sleeps of our trip in the comfortable bed.Our host was charming and very helpful with suggestions of what to see locally. Delicious fresh ground coffee provided and a well equipped kitchen area. Wonderful garden space with a beautiful fuschia bush constantly buzzed by hungry hummingbirds! We really loved our stay and would certainly stay again if we visit again. Highly recommended. Absolutely outstanding.

Very quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of Victoria yet not too far away either. Several restaurants and grocery stores a short drive or bike ride away. Close to bike trails so excellent for cycling.

Loved the quiet, cleanliness and rural feel of the property with the farm animals and garden. The suite was spacious and immaculate. The owners were very friendly and quick to respond to inquiries. The windows were on one side of the suite with nice natural light. The kitchen and living room did not have any windows so no natural light but good interior lighting.

We had a fabulous stay. The location was ideal for visiting family nearby and we really enjoyed coming back to the peace and quiet of the property. Sitting outside had the dual benefit of a great view out to the sea and the joy of watching the sheep, chickens, ducks and song birds on the property, as well as petting the owners’ 2 cats and dog. The suite was spacious and very clean with all the amenities we needed and more, and the bed was very comfortable. Carol and Trevor were excellent hosts and we hope it will be available for our next visit.

As soon as we turned into the lane I knew we were in my happy place! The yard was in full bloom with plumb trees, rhododendrons and magnolias! Then we saw the sheep, chickens and ducks nearby. We really enjoyed sitting on the patio to take it all in. This farm girl felt quite at home!Carol set up our accommodation with everything to make us and our dogs feel welcome and comfortable. We recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet oasis with easy access to amenities.

Carol is an attentive host and we feel very welcome when we stay. The location is very tranquil and yet moments from the highway. My husband and I enjoy the experience of being on a farm and love to see the sheep wandering by while we have our morning coffee.

This suite is absolutely beautiful! Spacious yet cozy and complete with everything we needed. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches from the hosts such as the coffee and sparkling water they provided. The place is also very dog friendly and we really appreciated the blankets, treats and other helpful supplies! We loved the area as well and enjoyed walks at Elk Lake and on the Lochside trail to the Cordova Bay beach. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely book here again!
