"Nice place to stay if you are around this part of Normandy. The rooms are large and quiet, The breakfast is good and the hosts are very friendly and very nice people. In my opinion the rooms would be specially great during the summer months so as to enjoy the patio and the beautiful surrounding country. The things that could be improved are: The WIFI was not very good and I had trouble using it on my mobile device. Also the TV is too small and mounted too high on the wall. Other that we had a...

"Stayed here for an overnight stopover. Lovely guesthouse. Beautiful surroundings. Kids were kept entertained with garden toys/equipment. Best part of the stay was the breakfast! Best start to our holiday we could ask for!"

"My only regret is that we didn't plan a longer stay! This Chateau and the grounds are stunning. The resident manager, Pascale, was delightful, helpful and it was so pleasant to chat with her during our stay. She recommended a lovely restaurant in a nearby town and arranged reservations for us on a busy Friday night. Made to order breakfast, extensive honor bar with drinks and snacks, beautiful suite and common areas and very reasonable pricing; you can't go wrong with Chateau La Remetiere!"

"We had to go after the first night as the stairs were very steep and all rough stone which made me out of breath also the parking was an issue as there was no definite space. The owners were most helpful in this situation and offered us a refund for the remaining nights. Most hospitable.breakfast good"

"Quiet area. Easy access to St Lô. Old building. Polystyrene ceiling tiles in bedroom.Fire hazard? Very comfy bed. Very steep, dangerous stairs to room. Owner very nice but did ask for payment again even though we pre-paid. Basic continental breakfast but only 3 euros each.Overall, for a one night stopover after a 9 hour drive,it did the job."

"Stayed here during the 75th anniversary of d-day. On arrival didn't know how to check in but was not a problem as owner lives next door. Great location to easily get to other places. Resident chickens in the garden made our stay welcoming and interesting. One day owner left us fresh eggs and on the last night of our stay left us a bottle of wine and biscuits. Would highly recommend staying here and would love to come back."
