BBQ/games area is perfect, as well as having access to the local Rec club pool and facilities, with plenty of activities for all ages.Very close walking distance to the local shops, restaurants and beach. Great spot to base yourself to explore the Coral Coast.Papu and Vansheka are lovely and the house and gardens are beautifully kept.We hope to come back again someday."

"I was immediately welcomed into the Nanuku Resort and felt like part of the family. The staff cannot do enough to make sure you enjoy your stay. "Don’t go expecting your standard cookie cutter resort experience! Relaxed vibe all round. Friendly staff, clean facilities. Outdoor ensuite bathrooms were great! Different dinner menu each day - with plenty of choice. No need to go off site for meals. Very family friendly. We found it easy to organise activities and getting around was simple. Nearest ATM supermarket 15 min drive up road."

"Amazing value. The pool is huge! The unit was also large. Easily accommodated 12 for dinner (we travelled with extended family and had 3 units but got together for some meals) and bedrooms were very spacious. Everything was really clean. Lots of food options close too - we enjoyed the West Grill, Diner, Chinese, coffee shop and waffle place (who made my daughter's birthday very special), and used the supermarket and vege stall too. Stay away from the indian place down the road opposite the pier. We walked to the beach across the road and down the stream and then along the beach to snorkel off the pier. The Pink Spa was also great - between the group we had braids, manicures, pedicures, massages - all great value."

"The bufet rules at night time was confusing at night, and staff where a bit stressful at that time. They need to prepare some instruction for guests to understand the prices and proceses, specially considering that their logistics changed id there was a private function. But otherwise was a great place, clean, with very welcoming staff, great facilities."

"Had such an amazing time at the beautiful peaceful location just 5-10min walk from Maui bay beach. Property: I came as a little solo retreat to take a break from NZ winters. The unit was exceptionally clean, fully stocked and I appreciate being able to cook myself- although there are a few restaurants and grocery store within 10min walk. The bed was extremely comfortable and I loved the fact I could get away from bright lights at night and the blackout blinds. The wifi was perfect for calls/work, and never had a glitch. The property was quiet and beautifully landscaped with abundant fruit trees and veggie gardens, and I was even treated to fresh papaya and banana's and offered garden veggies! I loved going down for swims at sunrise/sunset and was often the only person at the pier. The beach is swimmable all day, although at low tide it's recommended to swim off the end of the pier. The local's are incredibly friendly, most speak English and as a solo female travelled I never once felt at all unsafe. HOSTS! This was the absolutely best part of the stay. Dee and Ken and their family were incredibly welcoming, helpful and made me feel at home the minute I arrived. Anything I needed Ken helped organise and was always only a text away. Nacho (the dog) was a fantastic tour guide and would accompany me to the beach guarding me all day until I was ready to walk home. Thank you so much. Cant wait to return!"

"Perfect place for your holiday in Fiji. The house is awesome with a nice pool, a huge master suite on the second floor and everything you need to have a great stay. The best part are the hosts and the housekeeper. Kiti came by almost every day, doing our laundry and cleaning. She’s super nice, as is Antonia, the owner. Communication was also super easy, both before and during our stay. I highly recommend this host and place and am already planning on coming back."

"We stayed at Out of the Blue to celebrate our 25th anniversary, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Vere and Joe playing the drum—it was warm, personal, and set the tone for our stay.Our chef, Qolo, cooked delicious meals almost every night. The complimentary breakfasts were always fresh and prepared by the amazing staff—Trixie, Ini, Sai, Uni, and Leone—who made every day feel special. A couple friend joined us a few days in, and sharing the house made it even more enjoyable.We were there for 11 days and had massages three times—they were the best we’ve ever had. The house was clean and comfortable, and the AC in our room was a big plus.We rented a car, which gave us the freedom to explore the island at our own pace. Most activities were within an hour’s drive, and meeting locals along the way was a highlight. We used the taxi service once, and it was great too.What truly set this stay apart was the people. The staff became like family—I called the women “my ladies” because of how loved and cared for they made us feel. Our farewell was so heartfelt and emotional.Out of the Blue isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place where strangers become family. We can’t wait to return, this time with our kids. "Excellent choice in Pacific Harbour! I just stayed here with a group of 21 university students at the conclusion of a two-week trip around Fiji. The rooms are large, comfortable, and in an attractive setting, and the price point for these rooms is an excellent value. The restaurant/bar/pool area provides a delightful environment for relaxing during the day/evening, plus the various specials that they run every day make for a very affordable stay. Moana and the staff are very helpful. Prior to our arrival, they assisted me in adjusting my dates with no problem, and also reached out to me via whatsapp to see if our group would like to attend their Thursday Island Night/Fire Show (which we did and thoroughly enjoyed). Throughout our stay the staff was very warm and helpful, and assisted us with any particular needs we had. Uprising is also part of the Duavata collective, which promotes culturally and environmentally sensitive travel across Fiji. This was my first time staying at Uprising, and I am very glad that we did. In the future, I will continue to bring groups here, as it is a great base for the various activities (diving, tubing, golf, fishing, etc.) in the Pacific Harbour/Beqa area). Thank you to Moana and all the staff for providing such a wonderful stay for our group. "

"We stayed here for 3 nights, from the time we check in easy communication with Hannah she also ensure us if we need anything just let her know she will try accomodate our needs. We booked queen double bed for 2 adults 1 child (5yr old) we love our room so cosy. We were lucky to have the whole villa to ourselves for 3 days. Our little one enjoyed the swimming pool and running around with no worries and the owner so lovely we had a full on conversation about life and future opportunities in Fiji. Two things we want to add is one maybe a small gas stove for the guest to use incase of a power cut. No: 2 a pump cleaner to keep swimming pool clean from dirt, Otherwise we had a peaceful stay at Pacific Paradise Villa and will definitely stop by if we are ever in the area again. "

"My family of 8 really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. You are beach front with great snorkeling, kayaking and paddle boards. The house also has a massive pool which the kids loved. The house was equipped with everything you need and there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The beds were also very comfortable which is such a plus. We opted for Pinkie to cook for us a dew days and are so happy we did. Everything she made was delicious. Pinkie and her crew made our trip extra special. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to return"

But what really made the experience exceptional was Lucia, our daily property manager. She went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect during our stay. "The chef, food and staff were outstanding, can’t say enough. It was like a high end all inclusive resort. The only thing that wasn’t great was its a little rocky and not the easiest to swim out front, lots of reef not the sandy perfect blue water you might imagine from Fiji. "Unbelievable property, beautiful, remote, quiet, very relaxing. Have the best activities at one location, surf, scuba, snorkeling, river boats, plus probably much more. Wish I stayed longer. Great Food, easy dining included if you want. I just paid separately and it worked fine, breakfast lunch and dinner are great, staff worked above and beyond to make you have a great experience. Super quiet. Is about 2 hours from Airport, so either get a rental like I did, or arrange for Transportation. Nothing around, so probably should of just went with drop off/pickup, had plans to go to Suva, about an hour away, never did. Surfed everday, they access Frigates, J’s, Shifties and other local Breaks. They offer Shark dives for Scuba, wish I was certified as this appeared to be a world class opportunity. Boatman are awesome, Surf guide Tim was great, as were Scuba Team. Really a world Class remote operation with a much better feel than “High End” Resorts. More personable and real. Exactly what I was hoping for. Room/Bure was awesome, clean, quiet. Not much of a beach, especially at Low tide. Really setup for day activities, surf or scuba or snorkel. Had wonderful Yoga with other travelers. Can’t wait to go back when surf is better. "

"My partner and I stayed at the Royal Davui resort for six nights. Upon arrival we were welcomed in song by the staff. After a refreshing welcome drink we were escorted to our villa (one of only 16 on the entire island). Breathtaking doesn't adequately describe our private accommodations which included a living room, which opened onto a large deck overlooking the cerulean blue South Pacific. The deck also included a refreshing plunge pool and chase loungers. The bedroom also overlooked the ocean, as did the soaking tub in the bathroom. Dining included fresh food prepared daily (including daily fresh caught fish) as well as thirst quenching juices, cocktails and a selection of fine wines. We took advantage of one of the two gazebos for private dining one evening. Excursions were memorable including a boat ride to a neighboring island to tour the community and watch a presentation by the local school children. We also enjoyed a sunset cruise with appetizers, champagne and serenade. We will long remember the tour to the private island (a sliver of sugary white sand) for a picnic which included umbrella, chairs, drinks and lunch. All of this added to the experience, but not as much as the beautiful, smiling, friendly staff of the Royal Duvai including Iva, Paula, Matthew and David. If you are a senior looking for peace, relaxation or even a little adventure, I would HIGHLY recommend the Royal Duvai Resort. "
