Place was really cute & different than anything we’ve had before. Great location. They are doing renovations…so there was some construction going on but we weren’t in the room much for it to have impeded our stay.

Simple check-in process (even arriving at 10PM after a 14-hour drive from Virginia). Enjoyed the complimentary coffee and small breakfast items in a quiet, cozy environment each morning starting at 7:30AM. The Emmeline Room was simple, but all that was needed. Only suggestion would be instructions on how to use the heater, maybe? Thank you for a laidback stay our first time in Vermont. Easy drive to Stowe (40 minutes away) Waterbury (20 minutes away), Woodstock, etc.

Great location, good free parking. Room was comfortable, shower was great. Comfortable common areas. Would be perfect for a family event. Breakfast was a little disappointing. Cereals, bagels, coffees, teas, packaged baked goods. More fresh fruit and maybe a fresh baked item and warm options would have been nice. Thank you, Frank, for a very nice stay!

I had looked at getting a place to stay in Stowe in June for an early October visit but there was nothing available. I'm so happy that I found this place instead. My husband and I really liked Waitsfield; it seemed to be more like authentic Vermont. The welcome left a bit to be desired since the innkeeper wasn't around when we arrived but we got into our room. As is usual in older places with character, we had to climb a set of stairs to get to our room. It was a little on the small side so luckily we are also on the smaller side. It was very quiet. There was easy parking and easy access to everything. We walked to the Mad Moose for supper the first night. Frank, the innkeeper, made oatmeal that was really delicious the second morning that we were there. He was really busy. At the General Waits home, we talked to a man whose family has been there for 10 generations. We left to go towards Albany, New York, via the Appalachian Pass/Gap, which was a really beautiful drive. It was a great visit and we recommended the Waitesfield Inn to our friends near Albany.

Lovely property. Conveniently located. Historic flavor. Beds could have been more comfortable. All of the outlets in my room need to be replaced. They are not dangerous but neither will they hold a plug.

Frank and Tracy are incredible hosts! Great restaurants options around the inn and great shuttle service to Sugarbush and back every day. The “Great Room” at the inn is also a very cozy vibe in the winter, especially when sitting by the fireplace.
