"This wasn’t our first stay at this hotel and this time we prepared for the busy restaurant by booking a table for dinner in advance. The restaurant is always busy. However, this precaution did not help as the standard of service was chaotic. The food we did have was good. But we would not have tried again on our second night. Disappointing. We also noticed that the public areas had been refurbished but this didn’t extend to the bedrooms. "

"Very friendly front of house staff. Hotel and spa a little rundown. Hot stone massage was amazing. The hotel do a lunch/bar menu that consist of sandwiches and baguettes from 12 till 5 everyday. However the biggest let down was that the chef had " closed the kitchen" because he wasn't prepared for valentine's day dinners and refused to make me something. I was there on a two night stay so lunch was something I definitely needed. I had to complain a lot and it took The front of house manager a lot to persuade the chef to make me something, but all he would offer was a very basic egg sandwich. This was very disappointing. "

"Lovely, friendly hotel. We stayed in the deluxe suite and cannot fault it. Large space, very clean, super comfortable bed and seating. All staff are very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious, we had our evening meal and breakfast and again cannot fault it. Plenty of spaces for parking and we had an added bonus of an extra hour before checkout at no extra charge. We had loved our stay here in a very nice quaint village opposite the Dorchester Abbey which is beautiful. "
