This was a lovely, big house and property. Three generations thoroughly enjoyed our stay last week. It was a very hot week so the pool was quite a blessing. Wally was easy to get ahold of and answered any concern right away. Thank you. We would love to come back.

Great House for Wedding Party

Family reunion

Our extended family of 18, ranging in age from 73 to 8 months, spent a long weekend. We enjoyed the pool, the hiking trail, and the ample space to chat and catch up. Wonderful place for family fun.

Refreshing and Spacious

Our trip with our young adult college students went so well in large part due to the amazing space, well-stocked, and hospitable accommodations. We had room for large group gatherings and sharing meals together and quiet space for each student. The grounds and scenery are gorgeous. Well-maintained home and kind host. Wally even helped me unload as well as give me a tour of the home so I knew where everything was at. We definitely recommend this stay!

Farmhouse Feel

The house is cozy and comfortable, the property is beautiful, pool is great especially for kids. The owner was very hospitable. It was the perfect house for family of 22 ranging in age from 82 to 5.

Perfect for a family reunion

It was a fantastic property and Wally was so great. Unfortunately a large group had been in the week ahead of us and hadn't treated the property with as much respect as they should have. But the property managers were prompt at addressing concerns and overall very lovely. The kids loved chasing fireflies, swimming and catching small fish in the pond. It was a fantastic weekend.

Absolute perfection!

We had an incredible stay at the Hidden Hollow Farmhouse for two weeks with family. The property is just wonderful. We had six kids there ages 2 - 14 and eight adults. The pool is big and beautiful - the kids (and adults) spent many hours in it every day. Half of it is shallow enough for even 5 year olds to stand and the deep end is deep enough for diving. There is an awesome rope swing out front, kiddie swings in the back, and tons of games in the garage (cornhole, badminton raquets, balls, etc.). Plus the game room is huge and has enough to occupy a full day. There's a small pond for fishing and a small creek that's great for river hikes. We spent two weeks and only left the property to go to the store. We had plans to do some hikes in the area, but never did because there was so much to do and everyone was so happy staying put! The house and property feel very secluded and in the country (the sheep that roam around help with that feeling!), but multiple major grocery stores are just half a mile down the road. We got Instacart deliveries regularly and ran out to the store often, too. Wally helped us take multiple family photos and dealt with any minor issues that came up right away. The beds were comfy and the house was stocked with towels. I would highly recommend Hidden Hollow Farm to any family or group looking for a break from reality. We wish we could have stayed another month!

This home is great for a large family gathering. We were 31 in total, so rented the cottage next door as well. Great location if you want to spend time in DC or in historic sites around the area. A few of us are horse enthusiasts, so we had plenty to enjoy as well. The indoor and outdoor spaces are comfortable with plenty of seating. With so much table space available, we were able to keep the jigsaw puzzles rolling all week!

The pictures don't do this home or property justice. The home is so cosy and welcoming. The property is so large and beautiful. There’s something for everyone: a fire pit for ganging out and smores, swimming pool, fishing, sitting on the front porch to read, a game/billards room, and a large field to play in. There are plenty of supplies and dishes so you dont have to worry about any of that. It was so nice an relaxing!

Absolutely Perfect!!

This home was perfect for what we needed for the weekend! Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay that fit all of our needs.
