You'll have an entire finished basement apartment all to yourself, with private bathroom, living area, washer/dryer and kitchen. The unit is meticulously maintained and cleaned, with new linens, pillows, comforter, bedding; towels, washcloths, and toiletries. Guests are given full privacy at all times with easy self-check in. Public transit is easy to access in this safe, quiet neighborhood. Hike or jog in the wooded trails of the famous Rock Creek Park, just 2 blocks away. Guest Access Private entrance to the apartment through the back door of a detached single-family home. Your hosts are right upstairs if you need anything, or just have questions about the area. Interaction with Guests Your hosts are Christina and Emilio. So nice! And there are lots of little touches that make staying nicer. Such as bandaids in the bathroom when I cut my arm and k-cups for morning coffee. Great communication and very friendly. The neighborhood is great and I felt completely safe. We had a friend come pick us up for dinner and he was so impressed with the neighborhood we chose, having lived in DC for a bit and knowing the area. Thank You, Jesus, for that - we had no idea where to look since we hadn’t been before. It was nice not having to worry about something happening to our rental car while it was parked on the street. We were glad to have the washer and dryer, kitchen and different spaces to be in. We came very late at night after driving through a heavy rainstorm. It was difficult to find the house, the door and the keys. We were grateful, however, that Christina replied so quickly to all of our many "we're lost" texts. Christina and her husband were both very sweet, lovely people. From where you park your car to the entrance of the space, there is no pavement, so you would have to walk on uneven grass, which could be tricky at night. Clean and orderly.Pretty easy to find, bus stop right outside, though busses are somewhat infrequent. Wonderfully thoughtful welcome, and a communicative host. This was the perfect studio for us!!! Our 1st experience with using app instead of staying in a hotel. The unit was clean well stocked with clean linen for bed and bath! The snacks a diner and breakfast food was a nice touch! We did not expect that it felt like all the comforts of home!!
