The problem was mine, not knowing the distance from touring spots I was looking for. I should have booked into Anchorage or Seaward. Only disappointment was stepping in dog droppings on my arrival. Dogs were well behaved. Some alarm beeped all night in the main house ; suspect it was water heater based on ice cold shower next morning. Too bad the family didn’t hear it. That’s just one of those things that can happen. Would definitely recommend if it’s the right location for you. Perhaps some listing of distances to popular tourist spots would be helpful to first time visitors. Glaciers and tours from Seaward.. Still we loved it. Deb (the host) is friendly and we felt very welcomed. She prepared tangerines and muffins as our breakfast which I enjoyed having on the patio while watching the beautiful mountain view and her cute dogs running around lively in the garden. We travel a lot and this was definitely one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed in a while! Deb and her husband are great hosts and made our stay very enjoyable! We enjoyed coffee and banana bread (that Deb made and left for us!) on the porch and looked at the beautiful view.
