Carolina CREEKSIDE Cabin - Fire Pit & HOT TUB on the Creek - Easy Access

Located in lovely Waynesville, NC our cozy authentic log cabin is the perfect place to unwind and relax. The cabin is directly on Laurel Branch creek where the peaceful sounds of lightly rushing water can be heard the moment you step foot on the over 1 acre property.

Property is easily accessible with any vehicle. Paved road access with no steep inclines leading up to our short gravel driveway onto concrete parking. Plenty of easy parking and walk up to cabin make it very Senior citizen friendly too. All areas of the cabin and property can be accessed without stairs.

As you walk through the front door of the cabin you will feel at home with comfortable high-end furnishings and rustic decor including an antique hunting rifle, deer mount, local art and authentic Cherokee Indian made bow & arrow quiver. Do you play the guitar? Feel free to strum the Taylor we have for our musical guests. The beautiful gas log Stone fireplace will keep you nice and toasty on a cool night. Flat screen TV with PlayStation 3 / DVD player and DirecTV with NFL Sunday Ticket Max. There is Verizon Business LTE service at the cabin for wireless internet and we have pretty decent cell service.

The kitchen is well appointed with everything you will need to cook a delicious mountain meal. From high end pots and pans, wine glasses, Yeti cups, coffee maker and everything else you will need to feel right at home.

Enjoy your meals and your morning coffee overlooking the creek in one of our many outdoor sitting areas.

Bedroom 1: Rustic Log Queen size bed with high end TempurPedic mattress with adjustable power base. Spacious closet to store your belongings. The creek outside your window provides nature’s white noise and you are sure to get a peaceful night’s rest in this room.

Bedroom 2: Two sets of Bunk Beds with brand new, comfortable foam spring mattresses. Spacious closet and cozy rustic decor. A perfect place for kids and adults alike to sleep the night away. Lots of board games, toys and Legos in the closet for kids to enjoy.

Bathroom: Custom repurposed Antique vanity and dual shower heads can be found in this recently renovated bathroom.

Bedroom 3: This Suite on the lower level is accessed by its own private separate entrance. Gorgeous Hand crafted Carved Oak bedroom set adorns this spacious room. King sized bed with high end TempurPedic mattress with massaging adjustable power base. This bedroom has a Flat screen TV with DVD player, Nintendo Wii and DirecTV with NFL Sunday Ticket Max. Large bathroom with two vanities and inviting claw foot tub. Relax in a nice, hot bath after a long day of enjoying the mountains. There is a sliding glass door overlooking the Creek with a river rock patio area that is the perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee brewed in the Keurig. In the evenings, this spot is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine.

This property is a bird sanctuary where you will encounter many different kinds of birds in season during your stay. With over 35 bird feeders, the sounds of song birds fill the mountain air. Our favorite is the beautiful and lively Hummingbirds. There are 10 Hummingbird feeders on the front porch and back Creekside deck. During the season, it is likely you will experience many Hummingbirds up close. Quite often we sit in the rocking chairs on the front porch and watch 5 - 10 Hummingbirds as they feed and chase each other from a few feet away.

Get ready to roast some marshmallows and make s’mores around the main big fire pit just a few feet away from the creek. We love sitting out there in the evenings enjoying each other’s company. There's another creekside fire pit at the grill/patio area too!

Kids and adults alike will love exploring the creek which completely surrounds 2 sides of the property.

The Creekside deck is a magical place to enjoy the beauty of North Carolina up close. Rushing mountain spring water and native plants embody the natural beauty of the region. The deck sits right along the Creek a mere few feet away. There are rocking chairs, a wrought iron table with 4 chairs and the Creekside bar made out of reclaimed Oak wood with 4 Log trunk stools. In total, there is seating for 12 on the deck. Off the deck is a Creekside patio area with another wrought iron table with 4 chairs, fire pit and gas grill. We love to enjoy a beautiful charcuterie or dinner al fresco!

We recently added a hot tub deck with a luxurious BullFrog hot tub a few feet from the creek! The hot tub seats up to 6 and has a relaxing lounger. Another perfect place to unwind at the end of the day at the Cabin!

This cozy Creekside Cabin is a favorite spot for unplugging from the daily grind and getting back to nature while still enjoying comfortable amenities. We know our happy place will become your happy place too!

Get away...far away!
We were looking for something away from the crowds and the hustle and bustle of typical tourist areas. We were also looking for a place that would allow us to spend time enjoying the outdoors. This rental did not disappoint. The cabin is literally right on a mountain stream. It has two firepit areas right on the stream as well as a hot tub. We had a great time grilling, eating, relaxing, and enjoying the fire pit all creek side. The cabin itself had all of the things we needed as well. We hope to return again in the near future when we need a peaceful getaway.

Beautiful mountain trip
This house is truly in the mountains, we enjoyed the babbling brook, watching chipmunks in the morning beside. The granddaughters were happy having a hot tub. Overall we had a very nice long weekend. Would recommend. The road up to it is something else.

Such a peaceful and beautiful cabin!
Our experience was just wonderful- beautiful location by a creek and woods. The hosts are very helpful, everything was just as shown and the cabin was generously equipped. It was so clean, beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were luxurious. The hot tub is near the beautiful creek and there are lots of birds and hiking trails in the Smokey mountains. We would love to return!

Cute, Cozy, and Welcoming
We enjoyed our stay very much! We are a family of 5. Two adults and three young children. We had my Mother n law, Sis n law, and my niece join us for a total of 8 (4 adults and 4 children) There was room for everyone! Even at the table in the kitchen (which you can’t tell from the picture) but we had breakfast here one more and a game night with all 8 of us sitting there. The decorations of cabin are so adorable and every time I looked around I noticed a decoration I hadn’t noticed yet. There were lots of little things that made us feel so welcomed. For example, there was plenty of firewood. Even though it rained and we weren’t able to have a fire I thought this was so nice! We didn’t have time to stop at the store the first evening and there was a few bottles of water in the fridge, another thoughtful “little touch” we made sure we replenished the water before we left for the next guests. The hot tub was already at a nice temperature so there was no waiting to be able to enjoy it. These are just a few examples of all the welcoming little touches! I loved the list of recommendations and we tried a few to help get our adventures started. We spent evenings on the back porch over looking the creek, we watched our kids play in it during the days. We didn’t even mind that it rained. The beds are comfy and the separate room downstairs was a great bonus! We enjoyed our stay at this cute, cozy, and welcoming cabin. We hope to visit again!

Peaceful setting, beautiful cabin
We loved staying at this cabin. The property was gorgeous surrounded by beautiful trees, birds, and a creek. Inside was very nicely decorated, felt cozy and was very clean! That’s something I feel is very important in any stay and this cabin was up to high standards in cleanliness. We had all the basic toiletries we needed upon arrival, even some snacks provided by the fantastic host! The kids room had the cutest bunks and bedding. The living quarters downstairs was luxurious and the bed was super comfy. There were so many extras as well, even though we didn’t have time to enjoy them, such as toys, board games, dvds, and even video game systems. The host really thought of everything and you could tell they really care for their property. The host themselves were great about getting back to us quickly with any questions we had and gave us some great suggestions for nearby groceries, fruit stands, coffee, and a cool leather shop in Waynesville-Axe & Awl. We will be back to this place next time we’re in the area. Thank you Brad and Shirley!

Absolutely Perfect
This was hands down the best cabin rental we’ve ever experienced! The cabin was meticulously cleaned and stocked and the privacy was appreciated. The noisy creek water cascading over the rocks provided a tranquil, awesome respite from the busy “day to day” life. Thank you to our amazing hosts. You have a beautiful cabin you should be so proud of!

Great cabin for a quiet getaway!
Cabin was very clean, true to description and pictures and stocked with initial supplies. We've stayed in some VRBOs that didn't even have salt/pepper so we were grateful that we didn't have to buy any basics. They even provided shampoo/body wash from a local soap shop that we had to go check out for ourselves. They provided a book with great activity and restaurant recommendations. The cabin had lots of entertainment from books to satellite TV, plus internet service good enough for streaming (we had heavy rain most of our visit, but didn't mind). Lots of great areas covered and uncovered to relax and listen to the creek behind the house, plus many feeders in the yard attracting birds and squirrels. Comfortable king bed downstairs --it had a foam top which we love! The location is convenient to SMNP (check out the elk at Cataloochee!) and surrounding communities. Close to I40, but never heard any noise. Very communicative owners and a very short and sweet check out list (not some 20 point list that you get with some). Owners have many little touches making this a great overall place to escape to and we hope to be back soon!
