Wenshan Vacation Packages
Visiting just one town or city, no matter how popular, will only ever provide you with a narrow glimpse into the broader rhythms and life-ways of a region. So try to set aside some time to tour Yunnan's other cultural and natural attractions.
This region is well known for its many old towns; these are fascinating reminders of the area's rich past.
When it gets cold, go to the Wenshan area. Pull on your woollens and try some of the wintersports on offer here. Try snowboarding or skiing. The wider region offer some fun outdoor options for active travelers with a love of watersports. Canoeing and rafting are some of the popular water-based activities here.
In many cases, the difference between being a real traveler and a mere tourist is knowing a smattering of language, so why not take the time to memorize a number of useful Mandarin words before you depart. Why not try to pronounce "Nǐ yào bú yào gēn wǒ tiàowǔ" The English translation is "Would you like todance with me?" A second interesting example is "Zhèiwèi xiānsheng huì qīngdān" (This gentleman/lady will pay for everything).
When the time comes to leave Wenshan, put the lens cap back on your camera, spend your last of your renminbi on last-minute souvenirs, and bid Zàijiàn (farewell) to this unique destination.
