The Aspen is an old property sitting in a beautiful location. If you want a peaceful relaxing place to sit on the porch, have coffee/adult beverages, this is the place. If staying in the lodge you have to share a bathroom/ shower with other guests on the floor but it’s not bad at all when you get used to it.

Enjoyable, comfortable stay

Extremely happy with everything this non-chain hotel provided. Comfortable bed, good shower, clean. Nothing fancy, but everything was as needed.

Nice roomy room with fridge and a coffee maker. Comfortable bed and pillows. Ice machine had plenty of ice. AC kept it comfortable. You could walk to stuff but it’s .3-.5 mile away. So convenient but after a long day of hiking a little too far. But only a short drive. My room was on the street so there was street noise, but they provide ear plugs and an in room noise machine.

Such a lovely place we liked it so much we stayed an extra night. The room was nice and spacious, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. I loved all the fancy toiletries that were supplied as well as a nice supply of fluffy towels. Staff were also beyond helpful in suggestions for restaurants in the area.

I’ve stayed in other West Yellowstone hotels but they were older and needed some upgrades. I am glad that I found this place because it was new, clean, quite, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. As a plus they have a washer and dryer that you can use during your stay. I would stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here for 6 nights. Each day we drove to a different part of Yellowstone Park. We got to see all the immediately accessible parts of the park. The Aspen was convenient, clean, and kept up by a very professional and friendly staff. I highly recommend them.

Great room with toiletries and such. Bed and bathroom mode and clean. The hallway smelled heavily of some perfume /deodorizer but not too bad in the actual room. Window opens also

We ended up booking a room here last minute after a communications issue (my fault) ended up causing our booking at another hotel to get cancelled. Although the cost was a bit higher it ended up in our favor. The room was large and high end, very quiet with easy parking. It was a really nice room! The West Yellowstone location ended up being better than Gardiner for us as it's closer to center of Yellowstone. A couple of things to know: First, no breakfast. We ended up picking up breakfast at Mountain Mama's (they were fantastic). Also, it is on the outskirts of the main section of town - about a 10 minute walk to the center of action which was not a problem for us.
