Wetheral Castle Hotels

Great pub, great room, great food.

This property was a find! I was concerned driving there as it was located in the middle of nowhere and thank God for Google maps else I don't know how I would find it. But what a delight! The room was comfy. The food was great. The service was exceptional. The bar was just a lot of fun. It was very convenient to Hadrian's wall

The Manager of Warwick, guest house was cheery and very personable! We enjoyed the conversation and all the helpful information she provide. The room was wonderful as well as the bed. The parking was convenient and easy! The breakfast was filling and delicious! We had a great time in Carlisle!

My husband, our pup and I had the pleasure of staying at the Halston for one night, and I wish we had booked for longer. The apartment/hotel rooms are large, far more generous than the photos, and very well equipped for both long and short stays. The staff provided a welcome package on arrival, complete with dog treats, crumpets, jam, butter, milk and coffee – which was so appreciated after a day of travel. The space is quiet, clean, comfortable and very conveniently located to the train...

The Queens was a little gem in the countryside. The staff was friendly and helpful. Dinner was excellent and far exceeded normal pub fair. The room was small but well appointed and clean. The location was great for visiting Hadrian's Wall. Breakfast was also quite nice.

This is a beautiful hotel - looks like its bread and butter is weddings. Excellent food and good gym.

I had a great stay,I booked the unit a day before my arrival and once booked I received all the check in info immediately, no key was needed all acess is through a keypad system which is nice. The unit was very spacious and cozy,I really liked the kitchen set-up,Carlisle is a wonderful city and fun to explore and the apartment was only a 5 minute walk to the train station.

Hazel, Ian and Auntie Chris were wonderful hosts. We had a shared bathroom that was no problem. Beautiful old manse with attractive, professionally gardened grounds. Room was like out of a movie. Orchids, fresh flowers, beautifully furnished and kept. Bathroom was huge with upscale amenities. Royal Worchestershire china and nicknacks. Breakfast included and fit for royalty. Hazel has done well with this property and is a gracious hostess that works very hard to keep the guests happy. Ian is a...

This was a beautiful facility and the owner was very friendly and helpful. The location is great if you are into country living, since it is a working farm about a five minute drive from the nearest town. Just be sure to ask for the correct postal code before going because the one given by Hotels.com is incorrect.

We had a great stay. Our hosts were fantastic!

It’s a nice place to stay when walking Hadrian’s Wall.

Friendly hosts, clean comfortable room and delicious breakfast.

The room was gorgeous and Sue is the kindest person. Lots of attention to detail and the little things that make your stay special. One issue was low water pressure in the shower due to a temperamental electric device that runs the shower head.
