Jul 25, 2019The Service in the restaurants (there are only 2 open in the winter) is unbelievably slow and inefficient. The food is excellent. A great place to go if the wether is nice.

"This was our second time. We love the place, the space, the trains and the memorabilia. Watching the trains go through was a total highlight for my dad, the kids played badminton in the garden and we did some beautiful walks in National Park. A great place for the whole family."

Feb 26, 2019If you are fit, we did the Tongariro Crossing, 19.4 km or 12.5 miles, 3,000 ft vertical up & 4,500 ft down. Plan on 6-7 hours to do the trek. It’s incredible!!! The hotel assisted with transportation to the trailhead & pick-up return back to the hote
