Lower Tama lake is located in Tongariro National Park on the Tama saddle. Drive to the Whakapapa visitor centre carpark which leads to the Taranaki Falls track. From this track you can continue to the Tama lakes which are only a few kilometres further along the trail. Make sure to bring thermal and wet weather gear as the track is exposed and can become hostile at any time of the year. #newzealand
