"Peaceful, very comfortable, convenient accommodation and just a short drive from York. The hosts Lisette and David were so warm and welcoming. We were given a guided tour of the hobby farm, introduced to the other residents, feline, feathered and woolly and by chance was there at the right time to watch some of their little flock be shorn by a mobile sheep shearer, which was interesting to be able to watch. Lisette loves her gardening, and making the most out of natures abundance, her creativity knows no bounds as she has an extensive collection of junk journal scrapbooks and repurposes so many everyday items into gorgeous pieces of artistic craftworks, very inspiring.This is a perfect place to wind down, ground yourself, breath in the country air and just relax and soak in the peacefulness of nature after exploring York (and beyond if your time permits)."
