"Very pleasant stay here at Arklow Bay Hotel. Staff were all lovely. Location is good within walking distance of arklow town. The walk beside the hotel was very good. Quiet place. "

"Our stay at the Horse & the Hound was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. The food served in the restaurant was exceptional, and the room was clean, comfortable, & quiet. We especially appreciated Alan at the pub who made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. He recommended wonderful area sites and cafes and invited us to hear live Irish music in the pub the first night we were there. Because of his attention & care, the best days of our travels around Ireland were there in Wicklow County hiking in the beautiful countryside & talking with friendly locals wherever we went. We will visit again, and when we do, we’ll definitely stay at the Horse & Hound."

"I don't usually write reviews but I loved my stay at the Martello so much. Check in was easy and the staff was lovely. Parking was very easy and not far at all -- I was also able to find parking easily both nights I stayed there. The restaurant at Martello was incredible too -- I had the best short rib I've ever had and was so happy with everything from start to finish. 10/10 reccomend!!"

"Fantastic stay. we arrived late but Jeff was ready for us. Greatly appreciate everything about the hotel and the staff friendliness. We were able to see the beautiful grounds in the morning and it was fabulous. The breakfast was great and very good. Wish we had planned on being in this area longer as the place is worth the visit."

"I loved my stay. Room was cozy and clean. Walkable to Glendalough and some nearby shops, a lovely pub, and the bus stop back to Wicklow train station. Staff were incredibly nice and caring. They even brought me ice for my ankle that I injured while hiking the Wicklow Way. A great stop if you are hiking the Wicklow Mountains."

"We had such a beautiful meal last night in Sally Gap Brasserie. Steak was cooked to perfection. Sides were divine we went for the creamy spinach. Staff were all amazing and ver friendly especially the doorman John, lovely man and very helpful "

"I loved the location being so close and convenient to hiking trails, lakes, Wicklow Gap, and close enough to shopping and other amenities. The staff was excellent! I appreciated the conversations, recommendations, and welcoming personalities. I didn't like that there was no outdoor seating near the water for a picnic, or just to enjoy being outdoors. The only outdoor seating was by the BBQ Cafe and posted signage that you can't use that seating unless buying from them. But what good is having a beautiful spot on the water if you can't enjoy it? I also would have liked a refrigerator in the room. We had been traveling for weeks and having a fridge would have helped us preserve some of the foods we were enjoying along the way. Overall our experience was pleasant and I would recommend this hotel to others. "
