Safety Concerns Ignored by Property Manager
The inside of this property does reflect the images and write-up, despite being rather dirty throughout. i.e. baseboards throughout the house have hair & dirt build up. The dryer's lint trap was so full with 2+ inches thick of lint - a real fire hazard. Fridge door was greasy with hand prints all over it. Floors were sticky.
My main concern was a lack of communication from the Property Manager at time of booking who should have let us know that the exterior entrances were under construction and not safe.
The temporary front steps were poorly constructed and very wabbly. The bottom step was 18" off the ground making access a real challenge especially with luggage. The sidewalk in the front was mud. The back yard was inaccessible.
The back door of the house was unlocked when we arrived (accessed from the kitchen) and there was no signage or forewarning that there was a 8-10 foot drop. There should have been some form of landing and likely 10-12 steps down to the ground level. There were a couple of metal rods sticking out of the ground that would have done a real number had anybody fallen down. Very scary.
The Property Managers reply when I voiced my concerns was "Sorry our contractors are working on the property. But there's free parking on the street."
I presume when all the work is done it will be a nice place to stay. But our experience was very disappointing and the fact that the Property Manager could care less about his guests safety is a real red flag for me.
