“A classic hotel right out of the great Gatsby. Accommodations were interesting because they were genuine and true to that time. But it is elegant and luxurious in a charming old school way. I highly recommend it!”

“The room was freshly painted, clean, and no comfy seats just hard chairs. The bathroom was tiny. The pool was great. The room was air conditioned. The stay was satisfactory and we would stay again because of the pool.”

“The tub made quite a few creaks every time one of us would move. It was a but loud and not fun when showering. We were in 306.”

“What a gem in the heart of downtown The Dalles! Our room was spacious, quiet, exceptionally clean, a super comfy bed and had a stunning black and white tiled shower. Very cool! Although the hotel was finishing a big remodel, it did not disrupt our stay in any way. The staff was friendly and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. I would rebook here in a heartbeat!”

“Every thing was clean, attractive and comfortable. The towels were thick and the bathrobe was very nice. My only complaint is parking. There is only street parking and during the hours that you have to pay at the parking meters you have to pay every 3 hours. You can do this with an app. I parked about 4 blocks from the hotel and later, after dinner, I was able to park only a block away.”

“Absolutely beautiful remodel stayed on the Multnomah side, amazing view, and wonderful amenities… utilized the beautiful pool area & work out room and thoroughly enjoyed the history of the native buildings on the water, very important to honor the land and history ! However the above guests had multiple children and it sounded like a herd of horses starting at 6 am, called the front desk to ask them to call the people above but they wouldn’t answer, the people continued and constantly opened and……

“Booked through Expedia. Selected incorrect date. Realized 1 minute after hitting submit. Tried to cancel and both Expedia and Best Western said I could NOT cancel, despite the “booking” being 1 minute old. Did not get to use the room, but was charged for it. Terrible customer service by both businesses. Total nonsense!”
