"We were initially disappointed with the lack of air conditioning although listed for the property, however following a phone conversation where our concerns were put at ease, and the property was lovely and cool as stated made it very comfortable. All-in-all, a very satisfactory stay"

"The Shack is a lovely, comfortable place to stay in a beautiful setting. The attention to detail means is excellent and meant we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend visit. Alison was a great host too, we hope to visit again sometime!"

"The double spa bath is very welcome and decadent. The exterior is fun and has a luxurious cottage feel. Outside of that the cottage felt underwhelming, tired and in need of some repair. The bathroom needs regrouting, the vanity light wasn't working, the bed felt small, the main TV kept restarting and the light in the kitchen had a cardboard-box shade. All the appliances felt tired and in need of replacement. For the amount paid, it felt more like a 3 star than a 4 or 5 star stay."

"Novella and Bob were wonderful hosts and very thoughtful which helped us settle us very quickly. As this was winter time we appreciated the fire already alight and even the electric blanket was on. Little extras in the fridge for us to enjoy we appreciated. Bed we found very comfortable. We will not hesitate to tell others of this special place and we will go again."

"Overall the house was beautiful, our host Jane was there to greet us & pass on info we needed to know, everything we needed was provided & more, the pantry was stocked with more than we expected. Gas fire was amazing, so was the decor, comfortable living for our girls weekend away of 4 Netflix was a bonus, & location was also good. would highly recommend.
