This airport hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff is very professional. I gave it only an average rating for two reasons that CAN BE CORRRECTED. First, the room is very poorly lit. There are no ceiling lights and only a couple of small side lamps. After dark the room is too dark, like being in a night club. Second, the shuttle schedule is INADEQUATE. The shuttle comes very 40-45 minutes. The other Double Tree at the airport comes every 20 minutes. In addition, because of the confusion between the two Double Tree hotels (both on the same street), people are always getting on the wrong bus.

The Grove Inn was a comfortable and convenient stay. The room was clean, the bedding was very comfortable, and I slept extremely well. The location was easy to access and worked well for my plans in San Francisco. That said, the overall feel was more simple than elegant, and there was a noticeable room odor that detracted from the experience. While it was perfectly fine for a short stay, it didn’t quite match the ‘boutique’ feel suggested in some reviews. Overall, a decent option if comfort and location are your priorities.

Fantastic stay in a perfect Union Square location. The hotel was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff was attentive, courteous, and made the entire experience feel effortless. The room was comfortable and quiet, allowing for a great night’s sleep right in the heart of the city. Everything exceeded expectations, and I would gladly return on my next visit. Highly recommended.
