We rode bikes during the day on the nearby bike trails and went back to the cabin at night. Nice kitchen fireplace comfortable beds. The cabin itself is located on the edge of Bald Eagle Forest, just inside of Centre county. The furnishings are very comfortable, great for relaxing and unwinding. The kitchen is VERY well stocked and equipped. This cabin was EXTERMELY CLEAN!! Given the location was expecting a lot of dust, cobwebs, etc., but none found. The linens and towels are newer and of good quality. The lot for the cabin is mowed, so you have a yard to play in with kids. Owner's WIFI worked well (you probably won't get any other service here regardless of carrier). There is a cross country ski trail just in front of the property that can be used for hiking. We went fishing at Penn's Creek (about 25 min). Plenty of dining options within 20 minutes of cabin, west to Millheim, east to Mifflinburg. You can barely see one other cabin through the trees, so while close you have plenty of privacy. Although we knew there were other families nearby from the occasional car passing the cabin driveway, we didn't hear a peep (no party cabins nearby!) All in all a great location with great amenities to get away from things. Note- Do not attempt to drive a low clearance car there (sports car type). Ave. car or SUV will get by just fine, but the driveway is gravel with some ruts, so low riding cars may bottom out. Everything was clean, newly updated and very cozy. I have stayed in several rentals in Woodward and this is one of the best.
