Great location to stay if you need to head to the airport. Would recommend for overnight stay. Room was small for two people but that was my oversight. They offer breakfast but we couldn’t stay as we had an early flight

The Hotel Alexander is a super convenient location, very central to the train station, close to all the important sights and located on the walking street in old Town. There was an interesting night life with the cafes and restaurants close by. The rooms are modernized and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good and the front desk staff very helpful with all kinds of information. We would repeat staying here in the future!

Location of this property in the historic city centre was outstanding. From the hotel you can easily walk the entire historic area. Plus the hotel is just off one of the few streets that cars travel so you are not having to drag your luggage through the narrow cobble stone streets to get to your hotel. The staff helpful and pleasant and the included breakfast a nice touch. We had a room with 2 twin beds, it was a bit small for our taste but perfectly adequate with free bottled water, soda and beer in the mini fridge. The bathroom again was smallish, but clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries. This hotel comes as advertised and is a great place to stay when visiting the historic city centre.

After a month of travel, and numerous subpar experiences at other hotels, we were surprised at how this hotel effortlessly provided all the necessary elements that make for a comfortable stay. These should be standard, but in today's less for more environment, they stand out significantly: professional and friendly service, no-hassle/quick response to requests for assistance, clean, well laid out room, comfortable bed, large shower, and standard size hair dryer, and to top it off, free breakfast and all items in mini bar were free the first round. Well done!

Great location close to transport and amenities. Great shopping location. Only fault would be you had to carry heavy bags up a flight of stairs before you got to the lift. Then the lift was extremely small.

Hotel was basic and reasonably priced for a Zurich hotel. The excellent location was just across the bridge to the main train station. Also, it was located right in the heart of a fun, lively area with lots of excellent, traditional restaurants. The breakfast and coffee was excellent and plentiful in a nice breakfast room. The bathroom was modern and very clean and had everything you need. I would recommend this hotel.

It was a nice modern hotel in old town. What hurts this property is the lack of AC or fans so the window has to be opened. It is a busy wonderful part of Allstate (Old Town) which is good and bad. Great location and hotel but very noisy when windows are open. Ear plugs provided were kind but not very helpful

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. I was not sure if I had made the right choice at first. But when we arrived we were pleasantly surpriised. The staff were very welcoming, water and coffee available 24/7, clean rooms and breakfast was good. Location was excellent!
